DuPont Changes Gear to Enhance Delrin Production
These feeders replace existing equipment that were unable to meet DuPont's exacting performance requirements in feeder accuracy, rapid product changeover times and increased capacity of their production lines. Among the feeders already installed include several Model 170 feeders, which feature a secondary discharge port — designed specifically for such applications where rapid product changeover or easy cleanout is required. Such a feature has helped DuPont not only save downtime in changing over the pigments used in the production of Delrin®, but has also significantly reduced waste, which compounders like DuPont often incur in product changeover.
